Poor Trespasser get’s hardly any love from the authors of cracked.com, who recently took it upon themselves to point out hilarious attempts at video game realism. As Cracked, one of our favorite time-wasters on the web, puts it:
Trespasser is a shooting game, but without cross hairs to help you aim and interact with the world, because even though those are staples of the genre, they’re just so silly and unrealistic. Instead, in what can only be described as the spiritual predecessor to QWOP, the game forces you to press several keys simultaneously in order to control the position and rotation of your arm and wris

Oh cracked, how can you stab us in the back like this… Either way: undeserving or rightfully on the list – let us know what you think! 🙂

Unrealistic? Lol, how realistic is it to autopick-up guns and being unable to move your arms? 😛
The harshness of the article is unwarranted. Granted, the game engine has glaring flaws at times, but aiming a weapon is rather easy and if he can’t do it, as this reviewer apparently cannot, he shouldn’t be reviewing pc games, or for that matter, attempt to play keyboard required pc games. Best he (or she) stick to the xbox or playstation. I’m certain the reviewer can figure out how to press a button –
If you ask me I think it’s the best game to come out of the franchise, and as far as the hand controls go they’re really not bad at all, just takes a little getting use to. All flaws aside it’s an amazing game
I am new to this place, but I’m so glad I found it in light of my recent Jurassic Park stoke with JPWorld coming out.
This is seriously one of my all-time favorite games. I felt it was so creative and you actually had to be very smart to play this properly. I mean come on, you had to retrieve security cards, hold them to the scanner to get into a building which had a clipboard which you had to pick up and READ off the digits of a code which you then had to PRESS carefully (without screwing up!) into a digital keypad to gain entry into a door. That was genius to me, in that it was so perfectly realistic and you really felt like you had just stumbled upon this “lost” world (pun totally intended) and everything you were picking up and finding was a bit of history.
It kept me churning on in that game. Sure, it has massive glitches and dinos would randomly die or get stuck on car doors or gore themselves on metal without me having to fire one shot, but my god did it scare the shit out of me at times, especially when I was being attacked from behind that Anne would just drop like a brick and I’d hear the bone-crunching sounds of my death haha! The gun sounds were perfectly done, I remember reading they actually got the real gun sounds for the game for each and every one you can find. It was a Jurassic Park fan’s dream game in my opinion, especially those of us who prefer FPS, but want it challenging and a bit of a mind game at times. The narration by Attenborough was THOROUGHLY intriguing and to me, adds to the awesome canon of Jurassic Park.
Please tell me that one of you guys has made a version I can play online or at least download. Problem is, I have a MAC.
