At times I could see trees so far away that it would take me at least 20 minutes to walk to them.

Graphics
The graphics in Trespasser are a mixed bag. Sometimes I would stare in amazement at the beautiful landscapes before me, and other times all I saw were dinosaurs that looked like they were software accelerated. Direct3D is supported, and while it doesn't make the game a lot faster than the software version, every little bit helps. I heard in a rumor that 3D accelerated graphics were not included in the original plans for Trespasser, and they were added as an afterthought in the final 6 months of production. Whatever the case may be, the graphics in Trespasser look like software acceleration even when using my voodoo2. There is no colored lighting or any sort of filtering. The color palette, mostly dark, works well with the game giving age to the towns and jungles.

The detail in the game is excellent. When you enter an abandoned city it just looks abandoned. You can see where time has had its affect on the old church, the overturned bus, and even the half-sunken ship. When walking around in the forest you will see remnants of past dinosaur attacks. One of the coolest was a wrecked motorcycle lying on the ground with a blood stained helmet and a shotgun lying about 20 feet away. You can pick up that helmet or any other object and turn it around to take a good look at it. I don't think you can walk 10 feet without coming across some sort of object you can interact with.

The dinosaurs in the game move with surprising realism. After you shoot them a couple times they will start to limp. All of the dinosaurs look really good but not as good as the screenshots on the box make them out to be. It is obvious that all of the official screenshots were touched up quite a bit. However, the skins of the dino's are still very real looking.

One of the coolest things about the graphics was that you could actually see your own body when you looked down. You can also see your holster and the gun that is sitting in it. But the first thing you will notice when you look down is that you have two big boobs staring back at you… Wow! Screw this whole get off the island idea, I'm gonna play with my new toys! Seriously though, they seem like they were just painted on there like a sprite, because they never move or jiggle. I will keep how long I spent trying to get the Amazing Arm to touch the breasts a secret.
